Internet at home is still not working!….
"And did those feet in ancient times, walk up on England's mountains green…"
….I'm not sure, but those feet of Jason Robinson certainly danced!! What a game the England/Wales one was! I thought in the first half we were going to loose it completely! But what ever was said at half time made all the difference! We do - like in the Samoa game - have to give some credit to Wales!(hard as it is!) They wanted that ball, and were going to do anything to get it! However, one thing that we certainly have over teams like Wales is fitness! Wales looked absolutely shattered after about 60 minutes, and England just had that little bit extra still in them! I also liked Jonny Wilko's touch right at the end!! Saying that though, England are going to have to step it up a gear to beat the french (boooo!) I'm really looking forward to reading all about you're experiences at the game Tim,Vic and Joe! I bet the atmosphere was electric! And I bet it was nice for you to catch up with you're old pal Ben was it Tim?!!!
What I learnt this week….
Just to prove to you all that I do actually do some work at Uni I'm going to share with you what I learnt in Sports studies this week! It was strange really that we were doing this topic right when Tim has been writing about being Patriotic! The topic title is Sport and Patriotism, we have been talking about sporting events like World Cups, the Olympics etc and how everyone becomes so patriotic when a big event comes up! The feeling of being part of something, showing support with flags and shirts etc! It is at this point where I have to break the news that we are - especially in this family - Xenophobic! (Big word I know!) It means a strong dislike or fear of foreigners!! This made me chuckle! I don't know about you but I'm definitely xenophobic! Those Russians are scary!!
P.S York City lost in the 1st round of the FA Cup to Barnsley! Damn!
