The one and only….!

Mum came to see me after all my lectures yesterday (well, I say ALL my lectures I only had 3!) It was really nice to see her! Especially as she brought goodies!! Hehe

Had a really good night last night! Some of you may know that I went to see the one and only (excuse the pun!) Chesney Hawkes! What a Leg-end, sorry legend! No he was really good!! And for £2 it was a bargain!!! He was on for just over an hour, and sang loads of songs that we didn’t know obviously!! Hehe! It was a bit of a family affair as well! His Brother was on the drums and his dad (Chip Hawkes!)came and sang! But Chesney did sing the classic I am the one and only at the end! We were trying to work out how old he must be, he wasn’t that old when he had his 5 minutes of fame! And he didn’t look that old last night, so maybe about early 30s?? His mole is still intact as far as I could see! So he hasn’t lost everything! Hehe! No, I’m glad I went to see him and he was good, just a bit cheesy!

So Timmy Mallet and Chesney Hawkes in one week! It’s a bit too much excitement! Hehe who was best? I think Timmy has just edged it! As the only song we knew that Big Chez sang was his one and only hit!

Hello Princess…

A bit of an Eastenders update… Dirty Den is back from the dead! Well apparently he has never been dead! Those daffodils weren’t as powerful as we thought eh! It was a bit predictable that his first line was going to be Hello princess when he saw Sharon! But nevermind! All the house are hooked! We couldn’t go out last night until we had watched it!……xxx :)

Decided not to go home this weekend, so haven’t seen mum, dad and co for a whole week!!! It was probably good for me though! Despite not going home, I’ve had a lovely weekend! Most of my housemates went home again, so there was only 3 of us. Chilled out on Friday and watched telly! On Saturday I thought I would try and get a bus to Ingleby Barwick! Easier said than done! I had the bus timetable and everything and knew where it went from etc! but then realized that that time was only for Sundays and Bank Holidays! D’oh! But luckily there was another one! However, this meant I had to run through Middlesbrough! This bus then didn’t turn up! Well it did but 10 mins later when I was about to walk home! When I spotted the bus it was at the traffic lights and so I then had to run after it until it stopped at the next stop! What a performance! To make matters worse, when I asked the driver if this bus was going Ingleby Barwick, he looked at me as though I was a complete idiot and spoke to me with he tone of ‘ well where else would this bus be going!’ If he hadn’t of been late I wouldn’t have had to ask! Anyway! I was on the bus and then didn’t know where it would stop in Ingleby Barwick! Or where the best place to get off was! Poor Michelle must have been sick of me! And I hadn’t even seen her!!! In the end it was ok and Michelle found me somewhere in Ingleby Barwick!! Had a nice day after that!! Michelle had cooked a surprise!!! Lasagna for me to take back to Uni! So we had some for lunch and then the rest is in my freezer! Yum yum! It has lots of special ingredients in it, one of which Sweetcorn! (sorry I shouldn’t be giving away the secrets!) It was nice to have a change of scene and have a laugh! I wasn’t brave enough to get the bus back! So Andrew and Michelle took me back, and we went for a drink or 2 at the Dickens (the local!) I think Andrew enjoyed himself! I think he thought he was a student again!! Unlucky And!! Hehe! Saturday Night was the School Disco at the Union, so had to get dressed up! It was really good and very amusing!

Sunday, went into town with Michelle and had a look round! Had lunch and then walked back in the pouring rain, without an umbrella! Well it was a nice day when we left!!!…. xxxx :)
